This restaurant is located right by the Centre Georges Pompidou (the SF equivalent of the MoMa) so its really convenient for an after-museum dinner. When you enter, the cute décor and intimate spacing catches your eye. It’s definitely not the biggest restaurant around, but they are always jam packed so try to make reservations.
The friendly hostess greeted us – she spoke both English and French which is always a plus. We decided to choose the prix fixe menu so that we could sample an appetizer, entrée and dessert, all for 20 euros.
For the appetizer, we got the mushroom paté, which was quite tasty. The texture was great and almost melted in your mouth and the flavors were great. For our entrée, we ordered the croustillant de legumes, which is similar to a vegetarian cutlet. One bite and I was hooked! The cutlet was extremely flavorful and had a kick to it (although this could have been the curry sauce that was paired with the dish). For desert, we had the chocolate mousse and the carrot ginger flan. The mousse was tasty, but the flan was a little off.
All in all, we had a great experience here and would recommend it for anybody: vegetarian or not.
